Here’s to even more roads to travel, stories to create, and memories to share in the years ahead! Keep on trucking and be sure to check the patch notes below for all the details.
All Platforms:
- New Missions: Five new Freedom To Roam missions have been added.
- New Police Car Functionality: If the player collides with a police car, they will receive an additional fine and be teleported to an alternate location. If the player hits a normal car near a police car, they will still receive a significant fine and be teleported to the nearest garage, gas station, or rest stop.
- Improved Draw Distance: Xbox Series S is now much closer to Series X, with further enhancements for PS5 and PS5 Pro.
- Dynamic Traffic Speeds: Traffic now has three speed levels (fast, normal, slow) that adjust in real time, allowing players to catch up to and overtake other vehicles more often.
- Increased Traffic Spawn Rate: More vehicles may appear around the player, creating a livelier world.
- Traffic spawning now occurs farther from the player’s camera, which reduces occasional popping of cars directly in front of the player.
- Enhanced Post-Processing: Improved color balance in HDR and SDR for a more visually pleasing experience.
- Memory Optimizations: Reduced chances of crashes during long play sessions.
- Navigation Fixes: Various improvements.
- Fixed Story Mode Radio Bug: The automatic volume adjustment issue has been resolved, preventing moments where players could not hear character dialogue.
