It’s a good day to be on the road! Patch 24 for Truck Driver: The American Dream is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, bringing several important fixes and enhancements to elevate your trucking experience.

This update brings significantly improved steering wheel compatibility across all supported brands and models. We’ve also made extensive adjustments to road layouts and intersection behavior to enhance realism and flow. In addition, route generation has received various important fixes, alongside other performance and gameplay improvements.

Patch Notes:

• Steering Wheel Support: Improved compatibility with all supported brands and models.
• Navigation System: Various fixes to route generation and guidance.
• Road & Junction Fixes: Numerous adjustments to road layouts and intersection behavior. Vehicles now move more efficiently at certain intersections. (Note: This system is being rolled out gradually and will continue to be improved in future updates.)
• Draw Distance: Extended draw distance for over 1,000 in-game assets for improved visual fidelity.
• Story Progression: Fixed issues related to second call triggers in story chapters.
• Dashboard Lighting: Updated lighting on all main truck mileage dashboards.
• Memory Optimization: Improved memory handling to reduce potential crashes during extended play sessions.
• Traffic Fines: Fixed an issue where the updated logic for speeding fines was not always applied correctly.
• Traffic Variety: Enhanced randomization logic to allow for a greater number and variety of traffic vehicles on the road simultaneously.
• Story Events: Resolved bugs causing certain events or dialogues in story chapters to not trigger as intended.

Xbox Series X|S Only

• Steering Wheel Animation: Added improved animation logic to reduce input delays. (This was previously already fixed in the PS5 version.)
